July 27th came and went too fast! Jentri and Brian's wedding day was beyond special! It took place in a spectacular backyard by the Connecticut River, with so many personal touches. Brian's Dad, Tom and his wife, Kristen hosted and provided immense help in preparing for the day - I'm sure all along remembering what it was like to be married in that same backyard!
Jentri set up her gear at the dining room table to do her make up and hair while a whirl wind of preparations swarmed around her. We decided to have a first look behind the house giving Jentri and Brian a moment before the festivities began. Flowergirl, Stella kicked off the ceremony riding in a little buggy that was a tradition in the Warner Family. Jentri made her grand entrance riding in the back of a 1987 BMW Beamer convertible sporting white framed retro round sunglasses that stood out from top of the hill. I have to say, that was the best entrance I've seen from a bride and I think her guests would agree! Stella's Dad, Adam was their JP. He had us all laughing, helping us forget about that hot sun bearing down on us. A long time friend of Jentri and Brian, they knew he'd put together something entertaining and special. They were right! It was so personal with his own life experience and with his relationship with Brian and Jentri. At one point, a boat drove by and gave a toot toot in celebration. Adam didn't drop a beat and gave his own cheer back at them! After a fantastic KISS, we all dispersed for drinks and food. Family stayed for a few photos and with their new rings, I took Jentri and Brian to take some portraits by their beautiful arch, trees, and of course the river. I left them for some time alone. As I was walking toward the tent, I turned back to see them standing so perfectly under their arch, leaning on each other, just watching their guests mingle. It's one of my favorite photos from the day. I can remember reminding myself on my wedding day to take the time to step back. Take it in! It's just amazing to see all your favorite people together in one place. At one point, one of their guests came up to me and said "Hey, I have a drone. Do you think they'd want an aerial photo of their party?" Ummmm, heck yah, guy!! So we got everyone out in front of the tent to take the shot - I hope I get to see it! That was a fun surprise! The night just kept getting more and more special. Beautiful performances from their parents, the dances, the food, and entertainment! I left after a quite spectacular array of fireworks, but the celebrations continued through out the night and well into the weekend. Too fast. Jentri and Brian, I was elated when you asked me to capture your wedding day. I loved meeting your families. Apparently, Jentri comes from a line of photographers who were all eager to discuss photography with me! Especially her Dad! I loved it! What an awesome day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart - I wish you a lifetime of loving memories! Cheers! (I apologize for not catching the names of the vendors - please tag yourself!)
