Baby Olive

How do you explain a newborn photoshoot? It's like the parents are floating around on cloud nine, or maybe it's the lack of sleep. Either way, there is a special aura that fills the room.

I try to schedule a newborn shoot two weeks after they're born. This was exactly two weeks after Olive's birthday. The idea is that they'll sleep through the whole thing, but of course Olive was wide awake and ready to work the camera! With time (and milk), she eventually fell asleep. We got some fun shots in while we waited. :)

Olive and her parents live on a farm. We spent some time inside their house and then went out to a row of peach trees! It was such a beautiful day and Olive clearly enjoyed being outside. It's hard to believe but before you know it, she'll be running in and out of those rows of trees!

Congratulations, Mom and Dad! She's one lucky baby girl!
