Every once in a while, you'll find me at one of these car shows. Don't ask me anything about cars, but I still find them fun. It's like a time warp! My father-in-law really enjoys them and if you have a question, I'll divert you to him. Today's show started with a bang. As soon as we walked in, the rain started to pour! It didn't last long though and made for an exciting start to our day! Clearly, not everyone was thrilled with this rain storm. The sun came out shortly after the National Anthem was played. Everyone attempted to dry off their cars and carried on with the fun! We went home with a cool, vintage STOP sign for the kids' room!

After a few minor aesthetic renovations like neutral paint for the walls, updated hardware for the kitchen, and new light fixtures, the townhouse has been listed! I went in to photograph this home a few months ago, while the renters were still occupying it (as you can see a few posts back). The owners decided to hold off and do some minor updates before putting it on the market. As of yesterday, it's been listed and on Sunday there will be an open house! You can view the listing here. And spread the word!
I have a brother who is 26 and a sister who is 33. Growing up, we bickered a lot. I honestly don't even remember my brother's existence until he was eight. With my sister, I had to share everything, including friends! She was the goodie too shoo who loved to clean and tattle on me any chance she got. I can remember thinking that I wouldn't even care if I ever saw them again! I mean harsh, right?
Little did we know how special we were to each other. Growing up in the same house, with the same parents, same vacations.. We were practically one! No one has the memories that siblings share! Luckily, we stuck around. They're a quick drive, a quick phone call.. They're there for Christmas, birthdays, a weekend get-a-way. I feel so fortunate to have them near! I understand that not all siblings stick around in their hometown. They venture off, get a job, get married, buy a house, have kids and start setting their roots in some other part of the world. Just like this gang here below! These five siblings (missing one who passed away) haven't been all together in twenty-nine years!!! You read that correctly. TWENTY-NINE years! I'll bet in making this reunion they said, let's better not make it thirty!!! Clearly, when I got the call to photograph this group, I absolutely had to be there. They were a joy to be around! I could feel the excitement and love they felt to be together! I can only imagine the flood of memories that came rushing back when they saw each other's faces! They've all returned home now, I'm sure with many new stories to share with their friends and family back home! |
