Here are a few favorites from my first real estate shoot. This is a spacious townhouse, an end unit with lots of daylight. It's currently being rented by a family with two kids, which is obvious in the photos. They cleaned up nicely for the walk through! I'd love to do more of these. Tell your realtor, friends, neighbors.. if they're looking to sell, photos are key and I'm offering a sweet deal!!!
Hey there! I absolutely love portrait and event photography, but I'd like to expand my horizons. Lately, I've been researching real estate photography. Tomorrow, I'm going to do a townhouse shoot. But I want more! Are you selling? Know someone who is? Contact me about putting together a beautiful slideshow that will make your potential buyers want to buy! I'm offering killer deals to the first few homes!
Chloe and I attempted to attend a festival in town today, choosing not to look at the weather predictions. We arrived as everyone was leaving. We're still hoping it clears up so we can try again!
This song. Trying to juggle our daily struggles, up's and down's from health to money, making time for our kids, making time for each other, morals, trying to do everything right.. It can really add up and make us feel like we're drowning. That voice that is trying to yell over it all to just relax, breathe, everything will be okay, seems to get hushed amongst the debris. This song reminds me to listen to that voice and that I'm not alone. We're all in this struggle together.
For my first post, I should mention that I've had a blog before. It was kind of my first website. I posted about my retouching jobs, interests, and photos and stories I wanted to share. Some posts got lots of attention and some did not, as to be expected. The ones that got a lot of attention were some of my most personal ones. It felt liberating to post such deep dark secrets about myself and to receive the response it did, felt empowering.
I left the blog because blogging takes a lot of time. I had just had my second child and had NO time to sit and blog. I reverted to Facebook to post about interests and to reach out to people. Now that I've updated my website and am starting to build a clientele, I'm back on the blog!
So anyway, "Full Speed Ahead!" That has nothing to do with starting a blog. What I have to share is my RAM upgrade today! Woo hoo! I upgraded my OS recently and apparently my computer did not like it. I work on an iMac. It's not new, let's just say that. The new OS needed much more RAM than I had. I have an Apple store nearby. I called them. They said come on down, we have it here in the store. But no, they did not have it there in the store. I've had many good experiences at Apple Stores. This was not one of them. They reverted me to a Macs at work store in a neighboring town. They wanted $240 and wouldn't have it done until end of day tomorrow. So I called my friends at Best Buy and they hooked me up. I am now running at full RAM capacity and only spent $55!
Lesson: If you just upgraded your OS and things are running slowly, check your RAM capacity. Is that obvious? It wasn't to me, but now I know!
That's my woo hoo of the day!:)
